The Bookmarks Club currently meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 1: 30-3PM in the lounge at BC 55+. Beginning in April, we have had five successful meetings with great discussions. We had a fun and productive mini pot luck afternoon meeting at Ardis Myette’s home August 13th and selected our next ten months books. Our September read is the Gown by Jennifer Robson.
From our members 25 diverse recommendations we have made ten great choices and look forward to interesting discussions lead by each of our members. While the discussion leaders do often send out questions ahead of the meeting, these questions are more for members reflection. The discussions are often less structured and more organic, with opportunity for each person to share their thoughts and insights about the book.
Currently we have eight members, many for whom this is their first book club experience. We are happy to add a couple of members. If you or anyone you know is interested in joining the Bookmarks, please contact: Ardis Myette.
