Although the CB55+ Centre is busy every day through the week, from 9:00 to 6:00 pm, there is space available in the evenings, after 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on weekends for individuals or groups to have meetings, run courses, host memorials, or for other needs that members of the community might have.
Individuals or groups can rent the whole Centre or specific rooms, depending on how much space they need for their event.
The Big Room can accommodate up to 135 people seated in rows, or up to 85 people seated at large and small tables.
The Studio can accommodate 35 people seated, or 7 small tables with 4 chairs at each (28 people).
Hourly rental rates for the facility as well as AV equipment are detailed in the Application Form (below).
Payment for rentals can be made by cash, cheque, or credit/debit cards at our office, which is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 – 12:00. Cheques can also be mailed to: CB55+ Association, #1, 5238 Cordova Bay Road, Victoria, BC V8Y2L2 Payment can also be made by e-transfer to: cb55treasurer@shaw.ca
All users must complete and sign an application form (the form is available on our website or in printed form at the CB55+ Office).
In addition, we require proof of liability insurance in the amount of $2,000,000 for the current year, listing CB55+ as an additional insured party. The insurance document and full payment must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the booked event. There may be a cancellation fee if the event is cancelled within 2 weeks of the booking date.
