Although our Centre is nearly full every day through the week, from 9:00 to 4:00 pm, there is space available after 4:00 until 9:00 pm and on weekends for individuals or groups to have meetings, run courses, host memorials, or for other needs that members of the community might have. Individuals or groups can rent the whole Centre or specific rooms, depending on how much space they need for their event. There are chairs for up to 120 people.

  • The Big Room can accommodate about 80 chairs, set in two sections, with an aisle between, or 10-12 card tables with 4 chairs each.
  • The Studio can accommodate 30-40 people seated in rows, or 5 tables with 4 chairs each.
  • The Lounge can accommodate more people if needed.

If additional seating is required for large groups, more chairs could be brought in.

The hourly rental rate is $35, to a maximum daily rate of $225.00.  If the organization is a registered charity, it gets a 20% discount, up to a maximum daily rate of $180.00. If the event is organized by a CB55+ member for other CB55+ members, the Board may allow a donation rather than the hourly rate.

Access to audio-visual equipment is generally not available to the public, but it can be arranged on an individual basis for an additional fee.

All users must complete and sign an application form (the form is available on our website or in printed form at the CB55+ Office).

In addition, we require proof of liability insurance for the current year, listing CB55+ as an additional insured party. The insurance document and full payment must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the booked event. There may be a cancellation fee if the event is cancelled within 2 weeks of the booking date.
