Have you seen the new location for our Donor Acknowledgement Picture? Thanks to Rich and Wolfgang, this beautiful picture is now easier for everyone to see in the hallway leading to the Big Room! Thank you for moving it for us!
Also, much appreciation is extended to Val Baba and the many, many volunteers who made our annual Artist/Artisan Show & Sale such a great success! Wonderful artwork and handi-crafts were on display, yummy sandwiches and drinks and baked goodies were available for sale, and a great silent auction took place from donations by the exhibitors! Much work behind the scenes was needed to set up, display, sell, and clean up for this event to take place, with the end result of more than $2,500 going to CB55+ Association! Thank you everyone, for making this possible!

A new Discussion Group is starting on Thursday, November 4, for 6 weeks, from 9 to 10 am in the Studio, for interested members. This group is organized by the Canadian Earth Institute, and will focus on how we think grow, buy, prepare, and consume food. The group will explore food systems and their impacts on culture, society, and ecological systems, and help us gain insight into agricultural and individual practices that promote personal and ecological well-being. It will help each of us to consider our role in creating or supporting sustainable food systems. There is no instructor for the discussion group; rather each participant takes turns in facilitating the group discussion. The only cost is the manual (around $25), which provides readings each week to focus the discussion. Space is limited, so contact Brenda Hurd (658-6484) or Val Murray (658-4289) to sign up and for more information.
