Our AGM will be on March 26, 2019, and with it the election of Members to the Board. This year, there are five vacancies to be filled. A Nominating Committee has been formed whose job it is to determine if any of our 700+ members would like to volunteer to sit on the Board for a minimum term of two years. This is your opportunity to give some of your time back to this wonderful Association and take an active role in managing the present and shaping its future.
The Nominating Committee members are:
Member, Mike Mooney, email@example.com or phone 250-658-4801
If you have an interest in standing for election or require more information, please contact one of the above before March 12, 2019.

A big thank you to Zahra Carino, the Pharmacist who provided flu shots to our members on October 30th and November 6th.
Forty-five vaccinations were given over the two sessions. This is an annual outreach for the local IDA Pharmacy and we are so fortunate to have them in our neighbourhood.
Dr Chris Pengilly provided blood pressure checks prior to the November 13th Tuesday Drop-In. His time, expertise, and kindness is much appreciated.
Our Cordova Bay 55+ office will begin regular office hours starting Wednesday, September 5th. Monday – Thursday the hours are 9:00 am. – 3:00 pm. and Friday 9:00 am. – 12:00 pm.
Summer holidays are nearing the end – only one more week before the children go back to school. We had two great treats in July and August. First our wonderful Berries and Waffles in July and then the CB55+ BBQ hosted and served by the Men’s Group. A good turnout for both. See everyone again next year!!
We have had a very dry and smoky summer – we in Victoria are very lucky that there are no fires here. Not so lucky for people in Prince George and West between Vanderhoof and Burns Lake. Pray for rain to help all the brave and courageous fire fighters.
Remember that our first Tuesday Drop-In will not be at Cordova Bay School – but the corn roast will be at Saanich Heritage Acres from 11:00 – 2:00 pm. Hope to see you there!!
